West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan and Kapolda Inspector General of Police Tornagogo Sihombing, Friday, released as many as 2,111 National Police Officer Candidates (Casis) from this province to study at 12 State Police School (SPN) educational institutions in Indonesia.
The Governor thanked the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo for their approval of the provision of affirmation quotas for 1,500 native Papuan sons and daughters as state servants in the National Police.
"On behalf of the government and all the people of West Papua, I would like to thank the President and the National Police Chief because in 2021 as many as 1,500 Otsus Affirmation Bintara Casis, which are financed by the Otsus budget, graduated from a total of 2,111 NCO candidates who were decided to graduate and attend education," said the Governor in a release ceremony held held in the ceremonial field of the West Papua Police Headquarters,
The governor advised the 1,500 Casis Bintara Affirmasi Otsus to maintain the good name of West Papua and maintain health during the education process.
"Congratulations to the brothers who have graduated, stay healthy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. My message is that you are financed by the Special Autonomy Fund, remember that parents have worked optimally with all limitations. Stay away from alcohol and drugs while studying," the message Governor.
Furthermore, the West Papua Police Chief Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing gave motivation to 2,111 chassis to maintain the good name of West Papua during the education process.
"This graduation is all of your hard work, after 4 months of tight selection in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please keep God's trust in serving the police. Leave bad habits. All of you have become members of the Police," said the Kapolda.
He said that for the first time in history the West Papua Regional Police were able to produce 2,111 personnel so that with this the West Papua Police's quantitative strength could be fulfilled with the support and opportunities from the National Police Headquarters.
"A total of 2,111 non-commissioned officers will study at 9 SPNs and 3 National Police Education Centers (Pusdik)," said the Kapolda.
