Puskesmas Medical Staff in Sorong Have Equipped with Complete PPE

Medical personnel in puskesmas and clinics in Sorong City, West Papua, are equipped with complete personal protective equipment (PPE). With this, health services to citizens are expected to run optimally.

Secretary of the Sorong Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Herlin Sasabone said, the PPE started from masks, protective glasses, hazmat clothes to hand sanitizers.

"This PPE is assistance from various parties such as BUMN, BUMND, companies, social institutions and community donations," said Herlin in Sorong City, West Papua, Friday (3/7/2020).

According to him, the distribution of PPE has been done twice. The first phase was distributed to ten Puskesmas in Sorong city. Currently to the puskesmas, medical centers and clinics.

"The amount of PPE distributed is adjusted to the workload of puskesmas and clinics," he said.

Herlin explained that the PPE assistance was distributed to the puskesmas and the clinic was aimed at supporting medical personnel to provide health services to the community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Thank you for the help of all parties, so that the availability of PPE is sufficient for medical staff at the puskesmas and clinics in Sorong," he said.

He hopes that the community will help the government break the chain of the spread of the corona virus in the city of Sorong. How, citizens must be disciplined to implement health protocols.

"Reduce activities outside the home if there is no important need, wear a mask when outside the house, diligently wash your hands, and apply a healthy lifestyle to protect yourself and your family," he said.
