552 Members of the Indonesian National Police and Civil Servants Promised

As many as 552 members of the National Police and Polri PNS in the Papua Regional Police got promoted as of July 1, 2020. Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw asked members to continue to promote discipline in implementing health protocols.

The promotion ceremony was led by Inspector General Paul Waterpauw attended by Deputy Chief of Papua Brigadier General Jakobus Marzuki and key officials within the Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Paulus asked his staff to improve their performance.

Paulus said the positive patient trend confirmed for COVID-19 in Papua continued to increase. As the front guard together with the TNI, local government, and others, the police must continue to encourage the discipline of the community to follow the health protocol.

Head of Papua Regional Police Humad Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal said that the 552 members who were promoted consisted of 14 middle officers, 22 first officers, 477 non-commissioned officers, 12 enlisted officers, and 27 Papuan PNS civil servants.
