The service of the Jayapura Regional General Hospital (RSUD) is considered to be time for improvement. Not only that, the accreditation side is in accordance with national standards, vision and mission, programs, facilities and infrastructure, human resources (HR) and existing medical devices, must be improved.

To make it happen, Jayapura Hospital also invited a hospital accreditation team from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, to carry out the accreditation version of the National Accreditation Center for Hospitals (SNARS), on Monday (12/16/2019). Where, the SNARS Accreditation assessment starts on 16-20 December 2019.

"Because Jayapura Hospital was once the best in the Pacific region in 1960. But now this hospital, now its service has declined and many complaints from the community".

"Therefore, Jayapura Hospital, which used to be a pride hospital of the provincial government and the people of Papua, must be upgraded to be the best in providing health services to the community," said Acting Director (Acting) Director, Aloysius Giyai told reporters in his office, this afternoon, after looking at him face with the Hospital Accreditation Committee team (KARS).

According to him, since being entrusted to the Acting Task Force (Acting) in 2017, Jayapura Regional Hospital has been trying to increase accreditation to Madya or three star. Then, when he was entrusted again to Acting this year, he continued the program and encouraged Jayapura Regional Hospital to achieve the bima star plenary accreditation.

"Indeed I do not expect to five-star, but at least we can know what is lacking, so that in the future it will improve. Therefore, I invited the KARS team from Jakarta to Jayapura to evaluate us in this hospital, "he said.

On that occasion, he ensured that Jayapura Hospital now has adequate human resources and medical equipment. However, the main problem is the health service system. "Therefore, in order to realize optimal public health and achieve health development goals, we want to change the services and systems in this hospital".

"Among others, by improving the quality of up to improving health services that are carried out continuously. We hope that Jayapura Regional Hospital can be the best in providing health services for the community in the future, "he hoped.
