KADIN Papua helps the government to reach 200 thousand MSMEs owned by NIB

The Papua Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) said it was ready to help the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordination Agency to achieve the target of 200 thousand Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to have a Business Identification Number (NIB) in Bumi Cenderawasih.

Chairman of the Papua Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Ronald Antonio in Jayapura, Saturday, said one of the efforts was to open a NIB management assistance service at the local KADIN office.

"We took the initiative to help MSMEs in Papua in the NIB issuance process, where if there are problems, the public is welcome to come to the office," he said.

According to Ronald, his party has prepared personnel to assist MSMEs in accessing the Online Single Submission (OSS) and entering the required data until the NIB is published.

"All NIB management is free of charge without any fees," he said.

He explained that it is very important for business actors to have an NIB because it will make it easier to access capital in banks.

"The issuance of this NIB is a government program to formalize MSMEs so that they can gain access to banks such as the People's Business Credit (KUR)," he said again.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) symbolically gave NIBs to 11 business actors representing 2,700 individual MSEs in Jayapura Regency, Papua.
