The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has provided assistance in the form of electric bicycles and the construction of social barns to people living in Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua.
“We also have plans to install solar panels at several points. So that children can play at home because of the light," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini in a written statement received by ANTARA in Jakarta, Saturday.
Upon arrival in Puncak Jaya, the Minister of Social Affairs went directly to the Mulia Bible School, Puncak Jaya to build optimism and brotherhood through infrastructure development which has implications for human resource development.
To achieve this goal, Risma provided 17 electric trail bikes that residents could use to distribute various logistical needs. There will be a place for charging motorbikes in each church center, so that residents don't have to buy fuel anymore.
Then the Ministry of Social Affairs also built social granaries that provide logistical needs such as 1,000 ready-to-eat food packages, 1,000 pairs of adult clothes, 1,000 blankets, 500 pairs of children's clothes, 304 children's food packages and three sets of multi-purpose tents.
It was also mentioned that the Ministry of Social Affairs symbolically provided social assistance worth Rp503,209,620 which would be handed over to the Regent of Puncak Jaya, Yuni Wonda.
However, the assistance will be in the form of 1,000 packages of snacks and milk, 1,000 pairs of adult clothing in the form of shirts and pants, 1,000 pieces of children's clothing, 20 soccer balls, 20 badminton rackets, 10 badminton nets, 10 badminton ball tubes, five children's swings. and five child slides.
According to Risma, his party will also soon install solar panels at 10 points and install orbits so that children can connect to the internet.
“We hope there is no more darkness. I hope to Mr. President that all areas of Puncak Jaya and other areas can become bright, so that children can play in peace at night," said Risma.
Regarding the demand for education personnel to optimize learning activities, Risma also promised to build a school hall and a health building.
During the visit, which was accompanied by cheers and the national anthem Indonesia Raya, which was sung by the residents enthusiastically, Risma visited the Mulia Hospital, Papua, to directly observe cataract surgery for underprivileged residents.
