The government builds Papua as the people want

The government continues to build Papua as the people want it, such as education, good health services, and infrastructure that reaches their homes.

This was stated by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin while talking with Deddy Corbuzier who was seen on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

"We continue to do what they want. For example, we build training centers, strengthen community empowerment, and eliminate extreme poverty," said Ma'ruf.
 
The central government does this together with local governments and non-government figures.

Ma'ruf emphasized that the central government had conducted many dialogues with these Papuan leaders to develop the area.
 

In the development of Papua, Ma'ruf asserted, the government has also established a supervisory body so that there are no many irregularities.

In addition, the pattern of distribution of special autonomy funds (Otsus) was also updated, where only half were distributed directly, while the rest were in the form of programs or projects from the central government.
