Komnas HAM Supports the Eradication of KKB by Security Forces

The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) supports and encourages law enforcers to deploy their elite troops to crack down on the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) that carries out terror and chaos in Papua.

Law enforcement officials are asked to do everything in their power to enforce the law, find and destroy armed criminal groups that have committed brutality to killing, robbing and oppressing the Papuan people.

Several cases of armed violence that occurred in other areas of Papua show that the socio-political security situation in the Papua region is not yet stable.

The government and law enforcement officers must continue to improve prevention efforts, by involving various elements, the local government and the local community, so that incidents like this do not happen again.

The DPR is very supportive of the steps taken by the TNI and Polri to overcome this problem. This is because armed civilian groups in Papua have threatened the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

This action certainly does not reduce the important aspects of human rights to pay attention to, but Bamsoet as Bambang is familiar with asked that it not be a burden to take action against separatist groups.
