The XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) in 2021 is only a few months away. Preparation for preparation has begun to be promoted in various sports (sports) contingent of South Sulawesi. One of them is boxing.
South Sulawesi itself is targeting one gold and one silver for boxing at the 4th annual event.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina) South Sulawesi, Adi Rasyid Ali when met by fajar.co.id, at the DPRD building in Makassar city.
"For PON Papua we want 2 gold, only for the realistic target, yes, at least 1 gold and 1 silver," said ARA.
For boxing, South Sulawesi plans to send 5 athletes to the national sports event. The five athletes have prepared themselves by doing a training center (TC).
"We send 5 athletes, 4 boys and 1 girl, we are targeting gold in the 52 kg male class," said the Deputy Chairman of the Makassar City DPRD.
The 2021 National Sports Week will take place from 20 October to 4 November 2021. Lukas Enembe Stadium is the main location for holding this edition, both the opening and closing ceremonies.
This event was originally to be held in 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
