The coordinator of the Papua Teaching Movement, August Kadepa, said that his party wanted to record various local wisdom and traditions of indigenous Papuans to become teaching materials for the younger generation in Papua. The Papua Teaching Movement also collects various local Papuan literature.
According to him, documenting various local wisdoms and traditions of indigenous Papuans will become teaching materials that can dive into people's lives, and become teaching materials that are appropriate to the lives of local communities.
Kadepa said that until now the Papua Teaching Movement continues to mobilize its volunteers to provide lessons for children in the village. The Papua Teaching Movement educates children in Papua according to local conditions, and adapts to existing natural potentials.
Kadepa calls the learning method contextual learning that is in accordance with the daily conditions of each student.
In the joint teaching and learning process, the volunteers of the Papua Teaching Movement found a lot of local literature. Volunteers document local literature in Papua to be taught to Papuan children.
